Split page to 4 quarters with a table

To split a page to 4 parts, you can insert a table to deal with the job.

1. Place the cursor at left-top of the page, then click Insert > Table, select 2x2 Table.

2. The table has been inserted, then drag right-corner of the table to resize it as you need.

3. Insert texts into the columns and rows separately.

4. Select the whole table, under Table Tools, click Design > Border > No Border.

Now the page looks like to split into 4 quarters.

Th final result looks a little clunky for my needs, which is for four CD inserts per A4 page. In word, Columns> Orientate to suit, (which in my case is landscape) > line space between table > result: 4 columns without visible lines in between. Works a treat!

First of all, make sure 'Vertical alignment' in the Page Setup dialog box is
set to 'Top.' To open the dialog box, you can double-click the vertical
ruler. You'll find the alignment options on the Layout tab of the dialog.
If the above doesn't help, look at the paragraph formatting for the row that
begins on the second page. Select the table row. On the Home tab, click the
dialog launcher button (the little arrow on the bottom right) of the
Paragraph group. On the Line and Page Breaks tab, make sure that 'Page break
before' and 'Keep with next' are both cleared. Click OK.

I have a word 2010 document that began as a small table but since I
added more data to it, it has now run over across two pages but left a
massive blank at the top of the second page. The table is marked as
Allow Row To Break Across Pages, and I haven't put a break in or
anything...but I can't click in this white space or anything. Across
the forums I've looked at there seem to be plenty of options but none
for 2010. I'm sure there is an easy answer but I've reached my limit!!
Please be nice, I got abused the last forum I went on for asking this
question *looks afraid*
