Fallout 4 Grass Texture Glitch

For Fallout 4 on the Xbox One, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Graphics question - flickering grass'. Was a fix for the 'rainbow textures' bug ever found? I'm attempting to start up my first playthrough of Fallout 4, but I'm encountering a strange bug that causes the objects and walls of my character's house to be rainbow colored. I searched for a fix on google, but wasn't able to find anything. Bugged Grass Textures Likely the mod 'seasons' causing it. I uninstalled the mod but now I am still stuck with bugged textures accross the map. Later I tried installing it manually and delete all the files I could see the file contained from my Fallout 4 folder. No success so far. Jan 28, 2018 @ 12:13pm Originally.

Quite surprisingly, I can play the game on medium/high details with a good framerate, but I did notice that textures are not loaded properly at times. For instance it will load the textures near my starting point, but it will only load low res textures of nearby areas. I am not talking about LOD textures, just very low quality textures... Only fix this far has been quicksaving and quickloading. Reloading the area will fix it...locally. It will then show low res textures at some other place.

Now I did see a screenshot of the early leaks, where everything but a table was displayed in high res. Also, a German magazine was reporting that apparently there is a bug with texture loading and that it would ask Bethesda for further input.. Could it be that this is a bug? Or is it some kind of optimization for GPUs with too little VRAM?

This list of mods are for Nvidia 970(or ATI equivalent) or greater. You should expect about 40fps with everything turned on. (I get 30+Fps with a 580GTX)

This prevents a glitch that can occur with doors where there is a sky behind it.

  • Right-click on the mod in the left pane and select 'ignore update.' The reason this is flagged is due to incorrect version format.

Description : The intention is to add immersion, realism, and gives the player the idea that the plants and grass are reclaiming the land.

Reason : I use this as a base file as it has so many texture alterations that lean towards a 'plants reclaiming the land' scenario. If you are looking for 'vanilla' appearance then try a texture optimization project as the base file instead of this one.
